Korea Internet Corporations Association Supports Startups at 'G-Star 2022' Sponsored by NC

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] The Korea Internet Corporations Association announced on the 14th that, with sponsorship from NCSoft, it will provide game startups the opportunity to promote their content at 'G-STAR 2022' to be held on the 17th.

The Korea Internet Corporations Association has annually supported BTB hall exhibitions for game startups but temporarily suspended support over the past two years due to the spread of COVID-19. However, with the easing of government quarantine guidelines this year, various support projects for the development of the game industry will be resumed.

Through application and screening in September, nine startups were selected for support: NextAll, NeedMade, Buff Studio, Soul Games, AirCap, Epid Games, Nfusion, Triple Games, and Ttrigger.

The jointly supported game startup pavilion is organized so that the general public and stakeholders interested in games can easily view the content at a glance, with startups of similar scale forming joint booths.

In addition to booth support, a communication platform will be provided to listen to and discuss the difficulties faced by game startups through networking exchanges between the sponsor NCSoft and participating companies.

A representative of the Korea Internet Corporations Association said, “We hope this will be a great opportunity for the excellent content painstakingly created by game startups to attract attention from industry stakeholders. Going forward, together with NCSoft and other member companies of the Korea Internet Corporations Association, we will prepare and promote various support measures for the development of the domestic game industry.”
