Crystal New Materials "Research and Development of Graphene Powder with the Best Conductivity... Increased Use in Anode Materials"

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] Crystal New Materials announced on the 14th that it has succeeded in research and development of graphene powder with the highest conductivity in the market.


Dr. Xu Yao, Chairman and Chief Technical Advisor of Crystal New Materials, explained, "Crystal New Materials has achieved significant results in the field of graphene powder through years of effort."


He added, "We have been recognized by the China National Graphene Powder Product Quality Supervision Center as having the product with the best conductivity among graphene powders currently available in the market."


Graphene is a single-layer two-dimensional nano material composed of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb lattice. It is globally recognized as the thinnest and strongest material and is characterized by being almost transparent. Its thermal conductivity is higher than that of carbon nanotubes and diamonds, and its electrical resistivity is lower than copper. The company explained that it is one of the materials with the lowest electrical resistivity worldwide.


Crystal New Materials' graphene is applied in the energy storage field based on the characteristic of high physical graphene conductivity. The application of lithium iron phosphate cathode and graphite anode materials has yielded good results, and Crystal New Materials provides graphene pulp as a new energy anode production company. The company introduced that it is currently in the intermediate testing phase and has received positive feedback from customers in the initial testing phase.


Director Dai Zhongqun of Crystal New Materials stated, "We will focus on cooperating in various projects in the field of graphene manufacturing and research and development, as well as projects of the Graphene Innovation Center," and explained, "This demonstrates that significant achievements, developed jointly with the government, will become a pillar of the industry."


On the 7th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China announced on its website the official approval for the establishment of the China National Graphene Innovation Center. The Innovation Center plans to jointly conduct core technology research on development directions such as standardized manufacturing of graphene materials, industrial application of graphene materials, and qualitative improvement of the graphene industry, in response to the current stage where graphene industry development is still insufficient. It is introduced that by supporting an innovation system covering graphene innovation, industry, finance, talent, and value chains, it will lead the creative development of China's graphene industry.
