[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] Service robot startup XYG announced on the 14th that it will participate in the '2022 Seoul Cafe Show' held at COEX in Samseong-dong from the 23rd to the 26th, where it will showcase a prototype of a miniature autonomous delivery robot that moves between floors for the first time.
Marking its 21st edition this year, the Seoul Cafe Show is the world's largest coffee business expo, held under the theme "A New Era, A New Beginning." XYG plans to comprehensively present the results of its service robot developments, including the newly unveiled autonomous delivery robot, automated food robots that reduce work burden, and fully unmanned food robots that operate without human assistance.
In particular, the newly revealed robot is a miniature delivery robot based on stable autonomous driving technology. It is expected to provide a service that delivers food and beverages within buildings by riding elevators and moving between floors. XYG's booth will be located at COEX 3rd floor, Hall C, booth number 761. Along with experiencing the delivery robot, various events for on-site visitors will be held, including a hand drip demonstration by a barista robot and coffee tasting of roasted beans.
A special event to experience the brand of the robot cooperative cafe 'Lounge XY' will also be held. In the brand invitation event for customers who applied in advance, participants can experience being a one-day barista at Lounge XY and enjoy coffee prepared with various roasted beans from Lounge XY.
