On the 12th at 2 p.m., Suwon City announced on the 13th that it held the 'I LOVE Child' child abuse prevention campaign with citizens around Gwanggyo Lake Park in Yeongtong-gu.
The campaign was organized to raise awareness of the importance of protecting children's rights in commemoration of November 19, 'Child Abuse Prevention Day.'
The campaign involved the Suwon City Childcare Division, Suwon Office of Education, Suwon Southern, Central, and Western Police Stations, Suwon Child Protection Agency, Good Neighbors Gyeonggi Suwon Branch, Maewon Elementary School Tongtong Volunteer Group, and Neungsil Comprehensive Social Welfare Center officials.
The city operated a child abuse prevention publicity booth at the event site to actively raise awareness of the seriousness of child abuse issues and the importance of protecting children's rights. They also urged citizens to participate in preventing and eradicating child abuse.
Additionally, programs such as ▲ Child Abuse Prevention Photo Zone 'A Life Snapshot' ▲ OX Quiz on Children's Rights and Child Abuse ▲ Children's Police Uniform Experience Event ▲ Child Abuse Prevention Walk Campaign were conducted.
A city official stated, "Immediate reporting and protective measures must be taken upon discovering a child suspected of abuse to secure the golden time to save the victimized child," and urged, "We ask all citizens to become strong 'Child Guardians' who protect the lives and safety of children in crisis who need help."
