[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] GS Caltex held a completion ceremony for the MFC facility near the Yeosu 2 Plant in Jeollanam-do on the 11th.
The ceremony was attended by Kim Young-gyu, Chairman of the Yeosu City Council; Park Joo-sun, Chairman of the Korea Petroleum Association; Assemblyman Kim Hoe-jae; Huh Tae-soo, Chairman of GS Group; Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do; Huh Se-hong, President of GS Caltex; Park Il-jun, 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy; Huh Dong-soo, Honorary Chairman of GS Caltex; Jung Ki-myung, Mayor of Yeosu; and Bill Stone, CEO of Chevron Joint Venture, among other officials.
With the completion of the MFC facility, GS Caltex will have an annual production capacity of 750,000 tons of ethylene, 500,000 tons of polyethylene, 410,000 tons of propylene, 240,000 tons of mixed C4 fractions, and 410,000 tons of pyrolysis gasoline.
