Won Hee-ryong, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, specially requested Lee Han-jun, the newly appointed president of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), to achieve zero noise between floors, improve the quality of public rental apartments, and innovate the LH organization.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 11th, after presenting the appointment letter to President Lee on the same day, Minister Won asked him to report an execution plan on these three matters by the end of November.

Minister Won first urged, "Please build LH apartments with zero noise between floors so that no more disputes or conflicts occur between neighbors due to noise."

He then requested, "To improve the quality of public rental apartments, which form the foundation of housing for vulnerable groups and low-income households, please consider fundamental measures including enhancing the quality of finishing materials, expanding floor area, and increasing community spaces."

He also ordered, "Prepare plans to strengthen resident-centered housing services and social mix, such as allowing residents to use apartment names they prefer even in public rental apartments."

Finally, Minister Won instructed, "Create groundbreaking measures to rebirth LH as a clean organization that the public can trust." He urged the preparation of internal innovation plans that can break the chains of corruption, such as unfair profit cartels using internal information and collusion with retirees.

Minister Won said, "LH must vigorously pursue reforms to regain public trust and focus on its core mission of improving housing life for low-income households."

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to finalize the LH innovation plan in December based on the self-innovation plan submitted by LH.
