[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] SK Telecom unveiled the Android version of its growth-type artificial intelligence (AI) service A.dot (A.) on the 11th, adding a feature where AI automatically edits photos.

The newly introduced 'A.dot Photo (A. photo)' is a service that allows users to access various photo editing functions for free without separate downloads or watching advertisements. Through SKT's AI video correction and synthesis technology, users can utilize features such as 'AI Face,' 'AI Eraser,' 'AI Mask,' 'AI Crop,' 'AI Horizontal,' 'AI Best Shot,' and 'Tag Recommendation.'

'A.dot Game (A. game),' which offers various games to enjoy for free without ads, has added content such as fun psychological tests and counseling tarot content. Additionally, a quiz game where users can solve daily quizzes and receive rewards has been added, and a leaderboard displaying weekly rankings of casual games has been introduced to enhance game content, allowing gamers to enjoy prideful ranking competitions.

'A.dot TV (A. tv),' which provides personalized content free of ads, also introduces 'AI PLAY,' an AI highlight feature that automatically extracts key scenes from content using AI technology. 'AI PLAY' automatically summarizes videos by gathering highlight sections deemed meaningful by AI based on characters, events, and soundtracks within movies, dramas, and entertainment shows for customers who want to see only the main storylines. It can be accessed by selecting the 'AI PLAY' button while watching 'A. tv,' and users can turn it on or off at their desired time. From the 11th to the 13th, the KLPGA Tour 'SK Shielders·SK Telecom' Championship will also be broadcast live.

New features reflecting users' improvement suggestions have also been introduced. A 'Routine' service has been added that sequentially executes multiple functions provided by A. at once. For example, saying 'Good morning' will provide all the necessary morning information such as date, weather, and schedule in one go. Responding to requests to link with the previously used 'Google Calendar,' an 'External Calendar Link Management' feature has been added. In the future, integration will be expanded to include iCloud Calendar, Outlook, Samsung Calendar, and others.

SKT is conducting the 'A. Black Friday' event until the 27th. Points called 'Con,' accumulated by completing various quests in 'A.,' can be exchanged for mobile gift certificates such as convenience store products. For customers lacking Cons, various quests will be held within 'A.' during the event period.
