Doosan Construction Delivers Kimchi and Rice to 1,303 Vulnerable Households Employees of Doosan Construction and the Korean Red Cross who participated in the 'Hope Windmill Partnership Generation Health Keeper Project' are taking a commemorative photo.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Doosan Construction announced on the 11th that the ‘Hope Windmill Paired Household Health Guardian Project,’ sponsored through the Dream Tour KLPGA tournament hosted by Q Capital Partners and Norangtongdak last June, has been completed.

The ‘Hope Windmill Paired Household Health Guardian Project’ is a program that delivers kimchi and rice to vulnerable groups facing difficulties in their diet due to the spread of COVID-19 and rising prices.

In June, KLPGA CEO Kang Chun-ja decided to lend a hand to Doosan Construction and, together with the Korean Red Cross, which had helped with the existing KLPGA sponsorship, began selecting recipients from May. The Korean Red Cross selected 1,303 vulnerable households in the southeastern Gyeonggi Province area where Q-ro CC, the venue of the KLPGA tournament, is located. Doosan Construction sponsored rice (5kg) and kimchi (10kg) worth 74.75 million KRW, which were delivered to the vulnerable households.

Kwon Kyung-hoon, Chairman of Doosan Construction, said, "I would like to once again express my gratitude to the Community Chest of Korea, the Korean Red Cross, and KLPGA officials who helped us use the employees’ donations for such a meaningful cause," adding, "Doosan Construction will continue to take the lead in practicing various sharing activities for socially vulnerable groups."
