On the 9th at the university gymnasium... Over 40 companies and about 700 young job seekers participate
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Dong-guk] Pukyong National University held the '2022 PKNU Career and Employment Fair' on the 9th to provide youth with employment information and opportunities to meet directly with current employees of companies.
The fair, held on the afternoon of the 9th at the Pukyong National University Daeyeon Campus Gymnasium, was attended not only by PKNU students but also by local youth. Following the participation of about 1,000 people in the fair held in 2019 before the COVID-19 outbreak, more than 700 people participated this year as well.
At the corporate pavilion, 13 companies operated booths to provide information on recruitment and desired qualifications and conducted consultations, while at the current employees pavilion, about 30 company employees from various departments offered employment counseling and consulting.
The corporate pavilion included public enterprises such as the Korea Road Traffic Authority, Busan Tourism Organization, Busan Transportation Corporation, Busan Facilities Corporation, Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Busan Port Authority, as well as large and medium-sized companies including Dongwon Group, Golden Blue, Nexen, BEXCO, Samho Industry, Korea Kongsberg Maritime, and Hwaseung Corporation.
At the current employees pavilion, the PKNU Career Mentor Group, composed of PKNU graduates working at companies such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Chong Kun Dang, KEPCO KPS, Hyundai Motor Company, and GS Retail, directly shared employment know-how.
On the day, PKNU supported the fair's operation together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Busan City, and operated booths related to career and employment including the Student Competency Development Division, University Job Center, LINC 3.0 Project Group, and R-WeSET Project Group, as well as experience booths such as makeup, photography, and VR mock interviews.
