The Meister University Pilot Operation Project Group of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, which won the Encouragement Award at the Industry-Academia Cooperation EXPO Online Performance Exhibition Competition, is taking a group commemorative photo.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dong-Eui Institute of Technology received awards in three categories, including the Minister of Education Commendation, at the '2022 Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO' held for three days from the 2nd at the Suwon Convention Center in Gyeonggi Province.
Hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea, the 'Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO' is the largest industry-academic cooperation event in Korea, with participation from 286 university project teams nationwide.
The event is held annually to discover and award institutions, organizations, and individuals who have contributed to the activation of industry-academic cooperation and the economic development of local communities. This year’s theme was 'Accompanying Industry-Academic Cooperation, a Platform Connecting to the Future.'
Lee Tae-sik, head of the Department of Physical Therapy and a professor, was selected as a meritorious person for revitalizing school enterprises and received a commendation from the Minister of Education.
Since the establishment of DIT Sports Rehabilitation Center in 2012, the only school enterprise in the sports rehabilitation field nationwide, Lee has been involved from the beginning, implementing various sports injury prevention programs and musculoskeletal disease prevention programs, dedicating himself to industry-academic cooperation and local community development.
The Dong-Eui Science team submitted a video depicting the manufacturing process of a smart dryer for single-person households to the LINC 3.0 Industry-Academic Linked Curriculum Video Content Contest and received the Chairman’s Award from the National Research Foundation of Korea.
The Meister University Pilot Operation Project Team received an encouragement award at the online performance exhibition competition in recognition of their contribution to the activation of industry-academic cooperation.
Kim Kyung-ho, head of the LINC 3.0 Project Team, said, “Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has established itself as an excellent university for industry-academic cooperation in the southeastern region through expanding industry agreements, improving management systems, and introducing various curricula according to industry demands. We will continue to strive to nurture practical customized talents required by society through ongoing dialogue and cooperation with industries.”
