[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 9th that it held the 7th launch ceremony of the Win-Win Job program, a female talent development initiative.

The Win-Win Job program is Lotte Homeshopping's shared growth initiative that supports job training and employment assistance for female talents facing difficulties in job searching due to career interruptions. It has been jointly operated with the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small Enterprises and Agriculture & Fisheries since 2018 as part of a project supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

As of the 6th term, 156 out of 218 participants have successfully found employment, surpassing a 70% employment rate. There have been cases of employment in various fields including Lotte Homeshopping partner companies, food, and beauty sectors, with high job satisfaction reported. Reflecting the worsening employment difficulties due to the prolonged economic downturn this year, the number of selected participants was increased by 25% compared to the previous year.

This time, over a total of 4 weeks through online and offline channels, customized courses to strengthen employment capabilities are provided, including ▲understanding the distribution industry and home shopping job training ▲computer skills certification (MOS) acquisition course ▲resume writing methods ▲self-PR special lectures and mock interviews. After completing the training, participants are given opportunities for job interviews through the 'Job Festival' employment fair, which involves about 40 partner companies, and a total education allowance of 400,000 KRW is also provided.

Outstanding graduates will be selected to receive overseas training opportunities to experience the global distribution environment. To ease the hiring burden on partner companies, a subsidy of 5.4 million KRW per hired person (1.8 million KRW per month for 3 months) is provided.

A Lotte Homeshopping official said, “Through the Win-Win Job program, we provide job seekers with job training and employment opportunities, and partner companies with recruitment opportunities to select customized talents. We have recorded an employment rate of over 70% so far, and will continue to contribute to job creation for female talents through tailored support linking education and employment.”
