Drecom Provides Scenario · Contents Lab Blue Tokyo Produces... Joint Investment and Development Foretell the Birth of a Global Super IP

Content Lab Blue (CEO Ko Young-to), a webtoon and web novel production company, announced on the 9th that it will embark on global webtoon production in partnership with Japanese game company Drecom, aiming to launch in the first half of next year.

Drecom, collaborating with Content Lab Blue’s local Japanese corporation, is a leading Japanese game company known for developing and operating popular smartphone games such as "One Piece Treasure Cruise," "Kirara Fantasia," and "The Idolmaster Shiny Colors." Recently, Drecom has been accelerating its efforts in publishing, media business, and animation production. This joint production is part of a win-win strategy to expand the webtoon business by acquiring relatively scarce webtoon production personnel and experience through Content Lab Blue Tokyo, while providing attractive IPs.

Since its establishment in January this year, Content Lab Blue Tokyo has been gaining significant attention in the Japanese webtoon market based on its excellent production know-how and its own production process and personnel connecting Korea, Japan, and Thailand. In fact, titles such as "Inaccessible Lady" and "The Youngest Son of a Swordsmanship Family" dominated popularity charts and sales rankings on Japanese webtoon platforms on their launch day.

Therefore, it is considered natural that Drecom has chosen Content Lab Blue as its new business partner. Moreover, since Drecom’s games are known for their vast worldviews, three-dimensional character compositions, and complex narrative structures, this joint production is expected to give birth to another super IP.

Meanwhile, the jointly produced webtoon is titled "The Last Survivor of the Savior," with the scenario written by light novel author Amano Seiju (天乃聖樹), and Content Lab Blue Tokyo handling the artwork, production, and editing. "The Last Survivor of the Savior" is a fantasy webtoon about the last survivor of saviors who protected the world against the god of calamity. The protagonist turns back time to face the destruction of the world once again in order to save their precious ones.
