Governor Kim Dong-yeon Appointed Lee Min-ju as Secretary General of Suwon World Cup Stadium Management Foundation

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 8th, Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, appointed Lee Min-joo, former spokesperson of the Provincial Governor Transition Committee, as Secretary General of the Gyeonggi Suwon World Cup Stadium Management Foundation, an affiliated organization of the province. This is the first time Governor Kim has appointed the head of an affiliated organization since taking office on July 1.

Secretary General Lee has served as an SBS reporter, Vice President of Galaxia SM, Public Relations Special Advisor to former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, and Public Relations Special Advisor to Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate in the 20th presidential election.

Although Secretary General Lee was nominated on September 14, the province explained that the process took time due to the reemployment review by the Ministry of Personnel Management for retired public officials, as he previously served as a Public Relations Special Advisor to the Seoul Mayor, a position equivalent to grade 3.

Among the 27 affiliated organizations, 12 currently have vacant heads, including Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH), Gyeonggi Research Institute, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Corporation, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, Gyeonggi Art Center, Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation, Gyeonggi Market and Commercial Promotion Agency, Gyeonggi Social Service Institute, Gyeonggi Job Foundation, Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, and Kintex.

Among these, seven affiliated organizations have appointed heads: Gyeonggi Research Institute, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, Gyeonggi Job Foundation, Gyeonggi Welfare Foundation, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, Gyeonggi Market and Commercial Promotion Agency, and Gyeonggi Social Service Institute.

Except for the Gyeonggi Social Service Institute, all six heads of affiliated organizations are subject to personnel hearings by the Provincial Council.
