Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam held an appointment ceremony for new public officials.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 7th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam held an appointment ceremony at the county office's large conference room, attended by 41 new public officials who will carry the future of Geochang and about 100 family members.

The new public officials were assigned mainly to the frontline of administration, such as the county office, affiliated institutions, and towns and townships, to gain practical experience and strengthen their capabilities.

The appointment ceremony proceeded in the order of awarding appointment letters and public official IDs, oath-taking by the new officials, greetings by County Governor Gu In-mo, and commemorative photo sessions.

In particular, the new public officials pledged in front of their families to work with pride and dignity as public servants, and Governor Gu congratulated the families by presenting bouquets.

A family member who attended said, "This appointment ceremony was my first visit to Geochang-gun," and added, "I would like to express my gratitude to Geochang-gun for providing a great opportunity to celebrate this glorious moment with my family as my child takes the first step as a Geochang-gun public official."

Governor Gu said, "Geochang-gun is the central city of western Gyeongnam with premium education, elevator industry, and a clean natural environment. With the connection of the Southern Inland Railroad and Dalbit Inland Railroad, there will be infinite development," and added, "I look forward to the boundless growth of the new public officials who had their appointment ceremony today."

He continued, "I sincerely welcome the new public officials taking their first step in public service and thank the parents who raised them as excellent talents to serve the local community," and added, "From now on, I ask the new public officials to do their best to open Geochang as a future city where everyone wants to live, with a sense of responsibility and calling as public servants to meet the expectations of the residents."
