Hamyang Daebongsan Recreation Valley Surpasses 400,000 Cumulative Visitors, Continuing Its Popularity Autumn scenery of Daebongsan Healing Valley in Hamyang, Gyeongnam.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that Daebongsan Recreation Valley, known nationwide as the longest and highest altitude monorail and zipline in Korea and the best value-for-money forest resting place, surpassed 2 billion KRW in annual sales as of the 5th.

Additionally, the cumulative number of visitors also exceeded 400,000, establishing itself as a definitive mountain-type healing space in western Gyeongnam.

According to Hapcheon Daebongsan Recreation Valley, the recorded 2 billion KRW in sales this time far exceeds last year's 1.4 billion KRW, proving that it is gaining attention as a four-season tourist destination with azaleas in spring, greenery in summer, autumn foliage, and snowy landscapes in winter.

In particular, the wave of autumn foliage tourists that began in October is continuing into November, just before early winter, and is expected to continuously break records for highest sales and visitor numbers.

Thanks to the popularity of Hapcheon Daebongsan Recreation Valley, many visitors are also flocking to local restaurants and traditional markets, greatly contributing to the revitalization of the regional economy.

Along with this, visits from other local governments nationwide aiming to benchmark Hapcheon Daebongsan Recreation Valley have been nonstop. Hapcheon-gun is actively sharing on-site knowledge such as operational experience and facility management.

This successful streak is believed to be largely due to the advantage of being able to enjoy tourism and healing all at once, with extreme experiences such as the country's longest 3.93 km monorail and the world's longest 3.27 km and maximum speed 120 km/h zipline using a free-flight method, along with a forest resting place.

A county official said, “Now, the monorail, zipline, and camping land of Daebongsan Recreation Valley seem to have established themselves as the best healing tourist destinations,” adding, “We will continue to pay more attention to the safety and kindness of all visitors to Daebongsan Recreation Valley and do our best to provide higher satisfaction and better services.”

Daebongsan Recreation Valley accepts online reservations through Interpark, and ticket issuance is also available on-site.
