[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] Busan Gijang-gun successfully secured 776 million KRW in national and city funds through library and lifelong education public contest projects this year and has been carrying out various projects successfully.
Gijang-gun applies annually for national and city fund public contest projects from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Busan City, and others, and is promoting various projects. This year, it was selected for a total of 23 public contest projects, providing high-quality lifelong education and the latest library infrastructure to residents.
Major public contest projects include ▲Children's Complex Cultural Space Creation Project ▲Public Library Rooftop Greening Project ▲U-Library Service Construction Project ▲Regional Lifelong Education Activation Support Project ▲Gijang Humanities Writing Board Creation Project, among others.
The Children's Complex Cultural Space, to be created on the first floor of Jeonggwan Library around April next year with a total project cost of 470 million KRW, will offer children unique entertainment with a fairy tale storytelling experience center and reality experience center utilizing core IT technologies, as well as a digital media exhibition space.
A Gijang-gun official said, "Next year, we will continue to participate in related institutions' public contest projects as a lifelong education partner for residents and strive to promote various projects."
