County Governor Kim San and Others Visit Lithuania to Fully Attract MRO-Related Industries
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Kim San, the governor of Muan County, Jeonnam, is conducting on-site inspections abroad and investment attraction activities to successfully promote the aircraft maintenance business.
Kim San, governor of Muan County, along with public officials, county council members, and representatives from Muan Aerotechnics, a total of eight members of the Muan MRO Development Project Promotion Team, departed Incheon Airport at 11:10 PM on the 5th, traveled via Finland, and arrived in Vilnius, Lithuania, 14 hours later, 23 hours after departing Muan.
This Lithuania trip, scheduled for 6 days and 3 nights, involves visiting FL Technics, a company related to the aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) industry, which is a key project of Muan County. The team will verify technology and operational support related to the aircraft maintenance business in collaboration with Muan Aerotechnics, and conduct discussions on attracting related industries in the air logistics sector.
The main itinerary includes an internal meeting in Lithuania, visiting the AVIA Group to meet with the president of FL Technics, introducing the Muan Aviation Specialized Industrial Complex, discussing investment opinions regarding the aviation MRO and logistics complex, and visiting FL Technics’ Vilnius MRO facility to hear opinions on operational status and technical personnel.
Additionally, the team plans to visit FL Technics’ Kaunas MRO facility to receive explanations on operational status and technical conditions, visit the BA Training Center to introduce the aircraft control simulator facilities, and inspect various other facilities.
Governor Kim San of Muan County stated, “After much deliberation and leaving 50 minutes before the end of the Itaewon tragedy memorial, I will focus on applying the know-how of various advanced cases to Muan County through this overseas trip.” He added, “We will do our best to enhance the completeness of the Muan Aviation Specialized Complex project, which is a future growth industry for Muan County, and attract world-class aircraft maintenance companies to create good jobs.”
