New Record Set at 80m and 400m Relay Competition
Busan Choeup Elementary School Wins Overall Championship at the 34th Busan Superintendent of Education Cup Athletics Competition.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Choeup Elementary School in Busanjin-gu, Busan, achieved overall victory for both boys and girls at the 34th Busan Metropolitan City Superintendent of Education Cup Athletics Competition held at Busan Sports High School from October 28 to 29.
At this competition, 33 student athletes from the school participated in 37 events including running, high jump, and long jump, winning 18 first-place, 13 second-place, and 6 third-place awards, achieving excellent results. In the overall standings, they comfortably surpassed the second-place school and secured the overall championship for both boys and girls.
In the boys' 3rd grade 80m sprint, student Jang Jeong-won, and in the boys' 4th grade 400m relay, students Han Yosep, Ahn Du-ik, Park Jun-a, and Jang Jeong-won each set new competition records for the first time in 9 and 20 years, respectively.
The school also achieved excellent results this year by participating in various athletics competitions, including winning a silver medal in the 400m relay at the 51st National Youth Sports Festival.
