Asiana Airlines Launches '2022 City to City' Campaign

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Asiana Airlines is conducting the '2022 City to City' urban advertising campaign in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the New York City Tourism Board.

On the 7th, Asiana Airlines announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation to promote joint marketing with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the New York City Tourism Board, and will carry out ▲airfare promotions ▲online marketing ▲outdoor advertising together throughout November.

'City to City' is a global marketing campaign between New York City and major cities worldwide. Asiana Airlines is participating for the second time with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, following 2017. Accordingly, Asiana Airlines plans to conduct various promotions for passengers traveling between Seoul and New York to help attract tourists.

First, Asiana Airlines will offer special airfare promotions including up to 10% discounts on all routes to the Americas, including the Incheon?New York route, throughout November. Additionally, customers who purchase round-trip tickets for Incheon?New York during this period can enter an event on the Asiana Airlines website for a chance to win two round-trip economy class tickets on routes to the Americas. Furthermore, a 20% discount on local activity products in the United States will also be provided.

Asiana Airlines plans to promote New York using its official website and SNS channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). It will post information and content about New York destinations and hold participation events such as New York-related quizzes, offering Starbucks coffee coupons to a total of 150 winners. Detailed information can be found on Asiana Airlines’ official websites (Korea and USA) and official SNS channels.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and New York City plan to maximize promotional effects by displaying outdoor advertisements of each other’s cities at major attractions and crowded areas. Seoul will display New York City tourism advertisements at 300 bus and taxi stops including Gangnam-daero, Express Bus Terminal, and Yeouido. New York City will display Seoul advertisements at 125 bus stops.

An Asiana Airlines official said, “We hope that this joint marketing, taking place at the time when overseas travel is fully resuming, will expand tourist attraction and exchanges between cities,” and added, “As the official partner airline, we will take responsibility and further strengthen our role as a bridge connecting Seoul and New York.”

New York is a representative major city in the United States boasting a global presence in all fields and a global tourist destination visited by 60 million travelers annually before COVID-19. Asiana Airlines operates the Incheon?New York route daily. It deploys the state-of-the-art A350 aircraft equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi service on the New York route to provide passengers with a comfortable and pleasant journey.
