Mourning Itaewon Victims... Sacheon City Council Pays Respects at Joint Memorial Altar for Itaewon Accident Members of the Sacheon City Council in Gyeongnam are paying their respects at the joint memorial altar for the Itaewon accident.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Yoon Hyung-geun, chairman of the Sacheon City Council in Gyeongnam, and city council members visited the joint memorial altar for the victims of the Itaewon accident, set up at the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Plaza, on the 3rd to pay their respects.


Chairman Yoon wrote in the condolence book and, representing the Sacheon City Council, offered incense. He then, along with the attending council members, offered flowers and observed a moment of silence to pray for the deceased.


The attending council members also took turns offering flowers, expressing deep condolences to the victims and their bereaved families.


With a heavy heart, Chairman Yoon wrote in the condolence book, "I pray for the souls of those who lost their lives in the tragic Itaewon accident."


On that day, the city council members said, "We pray for the souls of the victims and sincerely offer our condolences and comfort to the bereaved families who have lost their beloved ones and are grieving."
