Discussion on Partnerships, Collaboration, and Investment Attraction
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Financial Group met with 29 startups to discuss collaboration and investment attraction.
On the 4th, KB Financial announced that it held the '2022 Second Half Pitch Day' event at the KB Innovation Hub Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The event was attended by a total of 29 companies, including 23 startups selected as 'KB Starters' last September and 6 startups previously invested in by KB Financial. These companies, operating in various fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Data, Healthcare, Energy, PropTech (Real Estate + IT), Mobility, and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance), held '1-on-1 on-site meetings' with 51 departments across 10 affiliates within KB Financial Group and conducted IR events to attract investment.
During the '1-on-1 on-site meetings,' departments wishing to collaborate with the startups were connected to discuss cooperation and partnerships. Additionally, IR presentations were made to KB Financial's professional investment reviewers.
KB Financial plans to continue providing regular feedback for each company and support partnerships, connections, and investments. A KB Financial official stated, "This event saw the largest number of startups participating to date, enabling in-depth discussions on partnerships and investments across various fields. KB Financial will continue to actively support startups to grow into the next-generation unicorns (unlisted startups valued at over 1 trillion KRW)."
