Japan Ministry of Defense: "Another Suspected North Korean Ballistic Missile Launched... Fell Outside EEZ"

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] On the afternoon of the 3rd, Japan's Ministry of Defense announced that North Korea had launched an additional object that is likely a ballistic missile.

Kyodo News reported, citing Japanese government officials, that the missile appears to have fallen outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).

The Japan Coast Guard stated that no damage to ships or other vessels has been confirmed.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff also announced on the same afternoon that North Korea had launched an unidentified ballistic missile into the East Sea.
