Focusing on Southeast Asian Market Through Collaboration with Local State-Owned Enterprises
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] Domestic defense company EOSYSTEM is actively targeting the Southeast Asian defense market. They plan to expand their market not only in Indonesia but also to neighboring countries such as Malaysia and the Philippines.
On the 3rd, EOSYSTEM announced that "they participated in India Defense 2022 held in Jakarta, Indonesia, until the 5th of this month." India Defense is the largest defense exhibition in Southeast Asia, with over 860 companies from 40 countries, including domestic firms, participating.
EOSYSTEM jointly exhibited with Indonesia's state-owned defense company (PT.PINDNAD). They showcased night vision equipment, thermal imaging devices, as well as vehicle situational awareness equipment solutions to the Indonesian military on site. The state-owned defense company (PT.PINDNAD) is responsible for ground equipment produced in Indonesia.
EOSYSTEM also signed an industrial cooperation agreement with the state-owned defense company (PT.PINDNAD). Through a technical agreement on aiming and observation devices, they are expected to create an important foothold for exports to Indonesia. EOSYSTEM anticipates exports exceeding 50 billion KRW through this agreement.
Since the early 2000s, EOSYSTEM has achieved export results of 200 million USD. In particular, by producing locally in export countries, they plan to increase the export ratio from 20% of total sales to 50%.
