Jinju-si, Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group Upcycling Education

Experience Making Eco-Friendly Soap at the Women-Friendly City Hub Space 'Seokryu Club'

Jinju-si, Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group Upcycling Education Jinju City, Gyeongnam, conducted education on resource recycling and eco-friendly upcycling for 50 members of the Women's Friendly City Citizen Participation Group.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam, conducted an "Resource Recycling and Eco-friendly Upcycling Education" session at the Women-Friendly City Hub Space Seokryu Club on the 2nd for 50 members of the Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group.


The upcycling education, held under the theme "Making Carbon Neutral Soap," was conducted to minimize carbon emissions in daily life and achieve zero waste in response to the worsening environmental pollution such as global warming.


Director Kim Byung-yoon said, "In the first half of this year, the activities of the citizen participation group focused on safety, such as monitoring public facilities. Going forward, we will not only focus on projects to create a women-friendly city but also take an interest in social issues overall and participate in solving problems."


A city official stated, "Through the activities of the citizen participation group, the local community is becoming safer and more pleasant day by day. We hope they will continue to actively engage in various fields, and we look forward to jointly creating 'Jinju, a city where all members of society are happy and comfortable,' which is the ultimate goal of a women-friendly city."
