[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] SK Hynix has introduced a training program for partner companies to enhance the win-win effects across the domestic semiconductor ecosystem.
From the 25th to the 27th of last month, SK Hynix conducted the "Semiconductor Introduction Training for New Employees of Partner Companies." This training was part of a co-growth program targeting 370 new employees from 58 partner companies, including members of the SK Hynix Win-Win Growth Council and technology innovation firms.
The training consisted of four sessions: ▲Win-Win Growth Partnership ▲Semiconductor Industry ▲Semiconductor Technology ▲Semiconductor Ecosystem. The Semiconductor Industry session covered topics related to the memory semiconductor industry and the supply chain of materials, parts, and equipment. The Semiconductor Technology session transferred SK Hynix’s technical know-how through education on the entire semiconductor process and post-processes such as packaging. The Semiconductor Ecosystem session discussed strategies for responding to the future semiconductor ecosystem.
SK Hynix also included an All Hands Meeting involving partner company representatives as part of the training. The meeting was held at SK Hynix’s Icheon Campus R&D Center, combining online participation and in-person events for the trainees. Attendees included Kim Seonghan, Vice President of Purchasing at SK Hynix; Kim Taewoon, Head of the Win-Win Cooperation Team at SK Hynix; Hwang Cheolju, Chairman of Juseong Engineering; and Lee Woo-kyung, CEO of ASML Korea, who discussed how to respond to the global semiconductor supply chain crisis.
At the meeting, Chairman Hwang stated, “To overcome the crisis, the government, the National Assembly, SK Hynix, and small and medium materials, parts, and equipment companies like ours must all unite,” adding, “As always, we must strive to overcome the crisis through technological innovation.” CEO Lee emphasized, “Even for large corporations, building trust with partner companies is not something that happens overnight,” highlighting the importance of building trust over a long period.
Vice President Kim said, “This training was prepared to reinforce the meaning of win-win growth between SK Hynix and its partner companies,” and added, “Through this training, we hope that new employees of partner companies recognize the necessity of building a collaborative ecosystem amid the semiconductor supply chain crisis and feel a sense of belonging as key members of the semiconductor ecosystem.”
