[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) has been reselected for the 'IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project' organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and will operate the project until February 2028.
Dongseo University has been conducting the IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project for five years until this year. Recognized for the achievements of the project so far, it will receive a total project budget of about 2 billion KRW for five years from March next year to February 2028.
This project re-selection was made through quantitative and qualitative evaluations including performance results over the past three years, the university's willingness to carry out the project, and excellence in industry-academia exchange.
Dongseo University has trained 554 students in long-term field training and 138 students in the work-learning dual system over the past five years with the goal of establishing a youth employment process through building a cooperative ecosystem among companies, students, and the university.
Based on this, it continues to produce local talent. Dongseo University plans to focus on building various forms of industry-academia cooperation infrastructure, such as customized pinpoint solutions tailored to corporate demand and leading company-specific consulting.
Song Kang-young, head of Dongseo University's IPP-type Work-Learning Dual System Project Group, said, “I deeply thank the internal and external project stakeholders who have worked hard to realize Dongseo University's unique industry-academia cooperation and field-connected education over the past five years,” and added, “We will work harder to improve the quality of the work-learning dual system and establish an excellent industry-academia cooperation model over the next five years.”
