[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Seojin System (CEO Jeon Donggyu), a supplier of advanced industrial equipment and components, announced on the 2nd that new orders related to electric vehicle battery parts (cases) are increasing from global customers.
According to a Seojin System official, as the business plans for next year become concrete with new car launches by automakers, demand for Seojin System's pack housing and end plates is increasing from global companies in the electric vehicle battery industry. Accordingly, the expected supply volume for 2023 is estimated to reach a total of 210 billion KRW.
A Seojin System official stated, "This large-scale order in the electric vehicle battery sector means that mass production of the projects previously under development with global customers is starting in earnest." Seojin System, which has secured the widest manufacturing industry spectrum in Korea based on various metal processing technologies, is reportedly receiving love calls from customers in various industrial fields recently.
Meanwhile, on October 14th, Seojin System announced through a corrected disclosure that it had secured supply contracts worth a total of 241.7 billion KRW in the ESS sector by the end of March next year. This amount is more than 100 billion KRW higher than the amount disclosed in July before the correction.
Seojin System recorded sales of approximately 332.2 billion KRW in the first half of this year, breaking previous records for both quarterly and half-year sales.
A Seojin System official said, "It is expected that the full-scale realization of sales in the electric vehicle sector will lead to another record-breaking performance next year."
