[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Yeongyang-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gyeongbuk presented gift packages of daily necessities filled with love to neighbors in need to welcome the autumn season. This is the Autumn Love Daily Necessities Package Sharing Event.
On the 2nd, Yeongyang-eup announced that it provided daily necessities packages to low-income vulnerable households under integrated case management who are experiencing economic and emotional difficulties due to rising prices and the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This package was delivered to 27 households selected as integrated case management targets to help those in welfare blind spots and crisis households in Yeongyang-eup.
The package contains seven items including rice, ramen, and tuna. The Yeongyang-eup Customized Welfare Team visited each household to deliver the packages and check on their well-being.
Ms. Park (female, 86 years old) expressed her gratitude, saying, "I have been mostly staying at home due to physical discomfort and was afraid to go out, so I am very thankful to receive these essential items for daily life."
Oh Do-chang, the governor of Yeongyang County, said, "I hope this small support can help vulnerable groups who are having a harder time recently due to rising prices and the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
The governor emphasized, "We will continuously visit welfare blind spots and take proactive measures such as focused case management to carefully monitor and strengthen care functions for crisis households, so that tragic incidents like the Suwon three mothers case do not occur."
