[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do is expected to gain great popularity as a resting place for citizens and tourists visiting Naejangsan National Park by installing photo spots within Naejangsan Ecological Park.
On the 1st, the city announced that as part of the 2022 Naejangsan Representative Tourism Development Project, it invested a total of 217 million KRW to install the Stairway to Heaven and Maple Tunnel facilities in Naejangsan Ecological Park.
Through this, it not only provides unique attractions for citizens and tourists visiting Naejangsan but also allows them to capture more special memories.
The Maple Tunnel was designed based on the colorful tunnel path of maple trees in Naejangsan.
It was made 3 meters high and 18.5 meters long, and the maple leaf patterns engraved on the transparent skylight panels sparkle in the sunlight, harmonizing with nature to create a distinctive space.
In particular, nine benches were installed inside the Maple Tunnel so visitors can rest in the shade, protected from rain and sunlight.
The Stairway to Heaven is a photo spot with an endless sky as the background, free from interference by power lines or hills.
During sunrise and sunset, visitors can capture the warm colors painted by the sunlight, and during the day, the deep blue sky, deeper than the sea, can serve as a canvas.
On days when white fluffy clouds appear, visitors can capture even more special life photos.
The city expects that by creating photo spots harmonized with Naejangsan’s beautiful natural scenery, it will provide tourists with unique attractions and encourage year-round visits, which will also help revitalize the surrounding businesses affected by COVID-19.
A city official said, “We hope this photo zone will become a new landmark of Naejangsan,” adding, “We plan to steadily promote the Jeollabuk-do representative tourism development project so that tourists visiting Naejangsan can fully enjoy rest and healing.”
