AT Semicon Completes Transfer of Semiconductor Package Business Worth 72 Billion KRW... Secures Liquidity

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] AT Semicon announced on the 1st that it has completed the transfer of its semiconductor package business division worth 72 billion KRW.


In August, AT Semicon agreed to transfer to A-Fact certain assets, contracts, receivables, liabilities, permits, and all personnel related to the semiconductor packaging business, which is part of its operations.


Having received an advance payment of 14.4 billion KRW from A-Fact in August, AT Semicon completed the transfer by receiving the remaining 57.6 billion KRW.


In particular, AT Semicon not only secured approximately 10 billion KRW in cash through a third-party allotment of new shares on the 27th but also enhanced its corporate value by securing liquidity equivalent to a market capitalization of 79.7 billion KRW as of the 1st through the completion of the semiconductor package business transfer, actively promoting new businesses.


A company official stated, "Through this business transfer, we have successfully improved our financial structure and secured funds for entering new businesses," adding, "Based on the secured liquidity, we will actively pursue new businesses to generate new sales and establish a stable profit structure, driving new growth engines."
