Meta-cognition refers to the self-reflective ability of students to judge what they know and do not know. OnlyOne, introduced by Visang Education, is a smart learning system designed to enable complete self-directed learning ability based on meta-cognition. It offers a broad lineup spanning from early childhood to middle school. The systematization of meta-cognition theory into smart learning allows learners to enjoy the joy of learning and maximize learning effectiveness from the learner's perspective.
Visang Education determined that systematizing meta-cognitive learning theory is essential to overcome the limitations of existing learning and began system development in 2020. During the development process, emphasis was placed on ensuring that the monitoring process, where learners identify their weaknesses based on meta-cognition, and the control process, where they supplement deficiencies to fully internalize the knowledge, occur sequentially.
OnlyOne, developed through this process, is the industry's first service to systematize meta-cognitive learning based on smart devices. The meta-cognitive learning system process of OnlyOne is divided into three stages. The first is reflecting on what one knows and does not know. To implement meta-cognitive learning theory in OnlyOne, Visang Education developed learning content utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), immersive interaction content, voice visualization technology, and animations.
