Enjoy Busan Night Views, Food, and Attractions ... Walking the Galmaetgil Trail by Moonlight Following the Lantern Light
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Dong-guk] Busan City is promoting the "Moonlight Galmaetgil Citizen Participation Walking Event" to link the commercialization of the Galmaetgil trail as a tourism product and to support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
This event is a program to experience Busan’s night views, famous restaurants, and attractions while walking the Galmaetgil trail at night. After on-site inspections of major night view spots, three locations were selected: ▲ November 3 - Hwangnyeongsan Observatory Sunset & Moonlight Walk ▲ November 11 - Blueline Moonlight Walk ▲ November 18 - Centum Movie Tonight, in that order.
The detailed themed courses are ▲ Hwangnyeongsan Observatory Sunset & Moonlight Walk from Geumryeonsan Station on Subway Line 2 to Hwangnyeongsan Observatory (2 hours 30 minutes, 8 km) ▲ Blueline Moonlight Walk from Songjeong Station on the Donghae Line to Haeundae Beach (2 hours, 7 km) ▲ Centum Movie Tonight from Haeundae Beach to Gwangalli Beach (2 hours, 7 km).
Since temperatures may drop at night, participants must bring warm clothing and other essentials.
Any citizen who enjoys walking can participate free of charge. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for 30 people per session starting October 28.
Applications can be made through the QR code in the notices on the Busan City website or the Busan Galmaetgil website.
Mayor Park Hyung-joon said, “Through this walking event, I hope citizens and tourists will have a meaningful time enjoying the Galmaetgil trail and Busan’s night views while simultaneously experiencing famous restaurants, cafes, and attractions,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to allow citizens to experience the charm of Galmaetgil.”
