AR Content Studio WeAR, Establishes Collaboration System to Expand the Metaverse Ecosystem

META-led 'Immersive Learning Academy (ILA)' and Related Training Programs Aim to Foster Creators

AR content startup ‘WeAR’ is participating in an educational program aimed at expanding the base of AR technology among various creators and developers.

Recently, the ‘Meta Immersive Learning Academy (MILA),’ a collaboration with Meta, is a structured learning program where participants can systematically learn about virtual and augmented reality (VR·AR) technologies and how to build them. It provides opportunities to learn the skills needed when utilizing extended reality (XR) and to leverage the potential of the metaverse. WeAR participated in this program as an official creator, delivering relevant information to potential creators through various cases and lectures. Meanwhile, at the MILA launch event, stakeholders such as brands and startups interested in AR technology gathered to exchange various opinions about the future that AR will create.

WeAR has been making efforts to expand the ecosystem not only for AR creators but also for NFT artists and students. They have conducted AR content sessions within the Creator Community Club (CCC) in collaboration with the creator goods shop Marpple Shop, and also provided opportunities for middle and high school students to create AR content together with the social enterprise WeNu.

An Heechang, team leader of WeAR who participated in the program as a creator, stated, “AR technology can be applied infinitely not only in industries but throughout our lives. I hope many creators will take an interest in AR technology and create innovative and futuristic experiences.”

In addition, WeAR is currently developing its own educational program to expand the AR content ecosystem, and through this program, it plans to focus on nurturing creators and continue its activities steadily for better communication.
