LG Electronics Officially Supports Pet Air Purifiers and Sponsors the 5th Seoul Animal Film Festival

LG Electronics is supporting the 5th Seoul Animal Film Festival, hosted by the non-profit organization Animal Rights Action Kara (CEO Jeon Jin-kyung), by providing the LG PuriCare 360-degree Air Purifier Alpha UP and sponsoring the event.

Now in its fifth year, the Seoul Animal Film Festival is the new name for the 'Kara Animal Film Festival,' which Kara has been holding since 2018. Every year, it presents a variety of films collected from around the world that pose serious questions about coexistence with animals. Last year’s screenings, including 'Gunda' and 'Cow,' were highly praised by both audiences and critics, and recently received official theatrical releases, generating significant attention.

LG Electronics, as an official sponsor of the 5th Seoul Animal Film Festival, has enlisted actor Yoo Yeon-seok, actress Han Bo-reum, and singer Baek Yerin as 'Animal Friends' ambassadors. The festival will be held simultaneously online and offline from the 27th (Thursday) to the 31st (Monday) at Megabox Hongdae theaters 2 and 3, as well as the online screening platform Pplay.

The theme of this year’s Seoul Animal Film Festival video is the festival’s slogan, “The Animal is a key!”, highlighting animals as crucial beings capable of overcoming global crises of our time such as climate change and infectious diseases.

LG Electronics will award the LG PuriCare 360-degree Air Purifier as a prize to winners of the Seoul Animal Film Festival’s citizen video contest. Additionally, LG will support the installation of air purifiers inside the movie theaters for visitors attending the festival.

The LG PuriCare 360-degree Air Purifier Alpha UP is the first air purifier in the LG UP appliance line, allowing continuous addition of new features through the LG ThinQ app’s ‘UP Appliance Center.’ For example, the new product can change its type depending on the air purifier filter used. Customers who recently got pets can switch to a pet-specific filter and use specialized features such as Pet Mode. Pet Mode provides up to 99.6% stronger airflow compared to normal mode, focusing on purifying the main living spaces of pets. The pet-specific filter’s deodorizing performance is restored after exposure to fluorescent light or sunlight for a certain period.

Other features include two selectable filters?general and pet filters?function upgrades such as Pet Mode creation via the LG ThinQ app’s ‘UP Appliance Center,’ 99.99% sterilization of the outgoing fan using UVnano technology, antiviral and antibacterial effects, and removal of five major harmful gases and ultrafine dust particles as small as 0.01 micrometers (㎛) with 99.999% efficiency, delivering outstanding hygiene performance. It is available in five Objet Collection colors: Nature Green, Nature Beige, Nature Clay Brown, Nature Clay Pink, and Nature Clay Mint.
