[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Hanchang is accelerating the strengthening of ESG management through various social activities.
On the 27th, Hanchang announced that it visited the Salvation Army Seoul Welfare Center, a child welfare facility, and donated home appliances and daily necessities.
Hanchang is focusing on eco-friendly businesses such as the bio food waste processor business. As part of ESG management, it conducted this volunteer activity targeting underprivileged children together with the KBS Entertainer Golf Team.
In June, Hanchang held a charity golf tournament to raise funds to help children with pediatric cancer and underprivileged youth. The raised funds were delivered to pediatric cancer patients through the International Cultural Exchange Foundation and donated to scholarship projects for underprivileged groups in Haenam County.
Hanchang plans to continue volunteer activities to fulfill its corporate social responsibility. Another charity golf tournament to raise funds for children with pediatric cancer is scheduled to be held on November 24 at The Ocean CC in Yeosu City.
Choi Seunghwan, CEO of Hanchang, emphasized, “We plan to hold charity golf tournaments annually to help children with pediatric cancer and underprivileged groups so that social volunteering can be practiced consistently, not just once.” He added, “We will strive to become a company that leads corporate social volunteer activities and contributes to the social return of corporate profits.”
