According to the indictment obtained by Rep. Kim Namguk of the Democratic Party regarding Park Suhong's older brother Park (54), when a legal dispute arose with Park Suhong, in October of last year, Park transferred about 22 million won from the Lael Entertainment (Lael) account, where Park Suhong's broadcasting appearance fees were deposited, as attorney retention fees. The sister-in-law Lee (51) also withdrew about 15 million won from the same account in April of last year to use for attorney fees.

In April of last year, Park Suhong filed a complaint with the prosecution against Park on charges including embezzlement, and the costs related to this were paid using Park Suhong's corporate funds. The entertainment agency in question only had Park Suhong as a member, and it was investigated that its main income came from his home shopping and broadcasting appearance fees, as well as event fees.

Additionally, according to the indictment, when Park and his mother purchased a commercial building in Gangseo-gu and lacked the intermediate payment, about 1.077 billion won of corporate funds was arbitrarily used.

On the 7th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office arrested and indicted Park on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), and his wife Lee was indicted without detention as an accomplice. They are accused of embezzling 6.17 billion won of corporate funds while running the entertainment agency from 2011 until last year.
