Ipo Elementary School Haho Branch, Where Rice Planting Took Place, Also Participates in Sharing
The Sejong the Great Royal Tombs Management Office under the Cultural Heritage Administration's Headquarters for Palaces and Tombs will donate 'Sejongmi,' rice produced directly from the royal tomb's wito field, to the Yeoju City Regional Children's Center Association on the 26th. The wito field refers to land designated to cover expenses necessary for the rituals or maintenance of the royal tomb.
This donation is a follow-up measure to the memorandum of understanding signed in October 2020 with the Yeoju City Regional Children's Center Association. It will be provided to youths from single-parent, grandparent-headed, and multicultural families. Students from Yeoju Ipocheo Elementary School Haho Branch, who participated in rice planting last May, will also take part in the sharing. Kim Bongdu, an official at the Sejong the Great Royal Tombs Management Office, said, "We hope this will be of some help to members of the local community who need care."
