The Nation's Largest Blockchain Expo Opens... 'BWB 2022' at Busan BEXCO


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The largest blockchain expo in Korea will take place in Busan.


Busan City announced that it will hold 'Blockchain Week in Busan 2022' for three days from the 27th to the 29th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.


This event is themed 'Blockchain City Busan, Present and Future.' Covering major issues in domestic and international blockchain exchanges and industries, it features three stages and over 20 detailed topics with about 100 speakers participating.


The conference will begin with a keynote speech by Ahmed, Chairman of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre), the largest free trade zone in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It will also include online speeches by global exchange leaders such as Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao and FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, as well as about 100 speakers including blockchain-related company representatives like Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek, Gate.io CEO Lin Han, and Gopax CEO Lee Jun-haeng.


Additionally, there will be ▲a 'Corporate Exhibition' with about 200 booths ▲a 'Special Exhibition by Artists' displaying around 100 works by about 30 artists including GBG Root (Kim Young-ha), Luria Writers' Union, and LAYLAY ▲an 'NFT Issuance Auction' featuring about 90 works in approximately 15 pieces per session linked with artist talk concerts ▲a 'Special Exhibition of NFT Works' showcasing about 150 video works ▲and various side events such as meet-ups for 30 companies.


This year, on the 29th from 6 PM, to support Busan's bid for the 2030 World Expo, a 'BWB 2022 K-POP Concert' will be held featuring six K-POP groups (EVERGLOW, Lee Hi, Hyolyn, Gray, Choi Yena, and Simon Dominic). Admission to the concert is free for participants of the BWB event.


Park Hyung-jun, Mayor of Busan, said, "This will be an opportunity to confirm the present and future of blockchain and digital assets and to solidify Busan's position as a blockchain city," adding, "We hope the related industries will show great interest so that the blockchain industry can contribute to revitalizing Busan's local economy."
