[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] On the 24th, Kim Yong-min, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated, "The wisest course of action for President Yoon Seok-yeol to take political responsibility is to voluntarily resign." He referred to the sudden resignation of UK Prime Minister Liz Truss just 44 days after taking office. Prime Minister Truss voluntarily resigned on the 20th, taking responsibility for causing financial market turmoil, including a sharp drop in the value of the pound, due to a large-scale tax cut policy.

On the same day, Kim appeared on MBC Radio's "Kim Jong-bae's Focus" and said, "In the UK, Prime Minister Liz Truss voluntarily resigned after 44 days. That is how political responsibility is shown to the people." He added, "If President Yoon really dislikes that, at the very least, he should apologize for the way he has managed state affairs so far, clearly present a plan for government reform, and demonstrate a fundamental change in attitude by seeking the people's trust once again."

On the 22nd, Kim attended the "Kim Geon-hee Special Prosecutor and Yoon Seok-yeol Resignation Nationwide Candlelight Rally" held in downtown Seoul along with party members Ahn Min-seok, Hwang Un-ha, and Yang Yi-won-young.

Kim said, "Various issues related to President Yoon have arisen, but he has not taken any political responsibility. Instead, even in cases like the profanity scandal, he responded with false explanations and filed complaints against the media that raised the issues. This shows that he intends to avoid responsibility solely through legal battles." He added, "This is not just one case; the public's dissatisfaction and concern are that almost all cases will proceed this way."

Regarding his attendance at the rally, Kim stated, "The most important reason was to directly hear and communicate with the public's level of awareness and anger on-site. Also, since there was a possibility of forced suppression of the rally, I attended for the safety of the citizens."
