GS25 Opens Convenience Store Game on Roblox... "Create Your Own Store"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] GS25 announced on the 24th that it will launch the convenience store simulation game ‘Moyeobwa GS25’ on the metaverse platform Roblox.

Moyeobwa GS25 is a game where players perform given missions according to five roles: manager, stock clerk, delivery person, cashier, and cleaner, and use the acquired currency to create their own convenience store. The game consists of a shared convenience store zone where role-playing is performed and a personal convenience store zone decorated with the acquired currency. Users can freely move between each zone and enjoy the game.

When completing the tutorial in Moyeobwa GS25, players receive GS25 uniform and hat items. Additionally, by completing stamp event missions in the game until the 24th of next month, players can receive display shelf and POS machine items. Entering the special code ‘WELCOME’ grants 1,000 won usable within the game.

A GS Retail official said, “Moyeobwa GS25 was launched to communicate with customers in a fun way through game content and to build brand intimacy, targeting the digital native generation, the future key consumer group. We will continue to strengthen communication with customers and accelerate the creation of synergy effects between online and offline by linking with various metaverse platforms.”
