[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Titleist has introduced a golf ball that can measure various data such as speed and spin.
The newly released product is the 'Pro V1 & Pro V1x RCT (Radar Capture Technology)'. It is an indoor fitting-only golf ball equipped with radar measurement technology. The manufacturer explained that it was developed "to meet the growing demand from the rapidly increasing indoor fitting population and golfers who want more accurate figures."
This product was launched after more than two years of research collaboration with TrackMan.
It has the same design, quality, and performance as the company's representative golf ball model, the Pro V1 series. Additionally, it features a special design within the golf ball structure that allows indoor radar to be measured accurately, providing the most precise data in indoor environments. The company states that the accuracy of the spin data reaches 99%. This enables comprehensive assessment of ball speed, spin, and hitting feel.
It is an approved ball that meets the regulations of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews (R&A). The combination of the golf ball and TrackMan allows verification of data identical to that on an actual field. It is sold in limited quantities through the official website, fitting studios, and some official dealers. Customers who purchase the ball will receive a special pouch for storing the balls.
