According to the Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station on the 20th, a man in his 40s, Mr. A, was found dead at a campsite in Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 10:30 a.m. the previous day.
It was investigated that Mr. A died from carbon monoxide poisoning after falling asleep with the heating device turned on.
The police closed the case as there was no suspicion of a crime.
A police official urged, "As the use of heating devices increases during the winter season, accidents leading to carbon monoxide poisoning or fires can occur. Please be especially careful when using heating devices."
