[Seoul District News] Gwanak-gu, Anyone Can Check Private Road Information Without Issuing Civil Documents Such as Land Register and Cadastral Map & Confirm and Download All Private Roads in Gwanak-gu via District Website ... Warm with Sharing and Passionate at Gwanak Festival in October
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) provides the ‘Gwanak-gu Private Road’ service on its official website, allowing anyone to easily view information about privately owned roads at a glance without the need to issue real estate civil complaint documents.
‘Private roads’ refer to land designated as ‘roads’ used for access to multiple lands, buildings, etc., excluding national and public lands, and are privately owned roads.
The district had faced difficulties in grasping land status during public works such as road paving and water and sewage construction on numerous ‘private roads’ arising from building permits and approvals. Additionally, frequent complaints related to parking and land disputes on private roads posed many challenges in administrative civil complaint handling.
Accordingly, the district has integrated public data from land registers and cadastral maps for approximately 3,000 parcels classified as ‘private roads’ to build and provide a fast and accurate road information platform accessible to anyone.
This service allows anyone to easily view location and attribute information about privately owned roads without issuing civil complaint documents such as land registers or cadastral maps.
A district official stated, “By actively utilizing the private road electronic system, the inconvenience of visiting for document issuance will be reduced, and the work efficiency of staff will improve. Furthermore, since it is available for free viewing, it also helps reduce document issuance fees.”
The service officially started operation on October 1 and can be accessed through the Gwanak-gu website (Information by Category → Real Estate & Cadastral → Gwanak-gu Private Roads).
In the future, the district plans to collaborate with departments in the spatial information field to implement a more user-friendly, service-oriented project and provide an upgraded map function within this year.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “Being able to easily check land status through the district website will be a great help to residents. We will continue to build land information that meets diverse civil complaint demands through active information disclosure and provide real estate administration that residents can feel and that takes a step ahead.”
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) successfully held various autumn festivals where all generations could enjoy and participate together, returning to face-to-face events after three years.
“I just want to enjoy without any worries today!” The Gwanak Youth Festival ‘Cheongajeul’ was held on the 8th at the district office plaza, where youth declared their ‘Youth Liberation Declaration’ and enthusiastically expressed their energy through celebratory performances and street dance competitions. Many parents also participated to support the youth’s career paths and dreams.
‘Nanda Youth, Stars Rise!’ Gwanak Youth Festival was held on the 14th at Nakseongdae Park in conjunction with the Gang Gam-chan Festival. The street dance and exciting music, showcasing the talents and youthfulness of young people, created a hot stage that resonated with all generations, relieving stress. The sales of youth startup brand products and experience programs planned directly by youth were very popular.
The festival continued on the streets. On the 9th and 16th, the Gwanak-style car-free street plaza culture event ‘As You Imagine’ was held around Bongcheon-ro intersection. Composed of three concepts: ‘Show Off As You Like,’ ‘Enjoy As You Like,’ and ‘Rest As You Like,’ it offered various street performances, village fairs, and a children’s mini amusement park, allowing visitors to experience a new urban culture in the city plaza.
On the 15th, the ‘Starlit Naerincheon’ hosted the book healing festival B.I.G. (Book in Gwan-ak), where children and adults alike enjoyed various reading experiences and content around the waterside stage.
From the 14th to the 16th, the ‘New (Shin) Battle of Gwiju, Gang Gam-chan’s Dream! 2022 Gwanak Gang Gam-chan Festival’ was held around Nakseongdae Park, creating a harmonious venue where residents united with the great general Gang Gam-chan of Gwanak, making memorable moments in October.
Additionally, on the 29th, the ‘5th Gwanak Urban Agriculture Festival’ themed ‘Gwanak Urban Agriculture Saving the Earth’ will be held around Nakseongdae Park and Gang Gam-chan Garden, and on the same day, ‘2022 Gwanak Coexistence with Animals Festival’ will be held at Starlit Naerincheon.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “This October’s festivals were not just for enjoyment but became a place of harmony where residents gathered to comfort, interact, and share joy. We will continue to promote various cultural and artistic events and projects that all Gwanak residents can enjoy together to create a people-centered city, Gwanak-gu.”
