Jeongeup-si Operates 'Free Suit Rental Service' for Job-Seeking Youth

[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 18th that it will operate a "Youth Interview Suit Rental Pilot Project" to support young people who are struggling with job hunting due to increasing youth unemployment rates and prolonged job preparation.

Earlier this month, the city conducted an open recruitment targeting companies located in Jeollabuk-do, evaluated the number of suits owned and expertise, and selected Centido, located in Wansan-gu, Jeonju, as the operating company, signing a business agreement.

The free suit rental is available to any young job seeker aged 18 to 39 with an address in Jeongeup City.

The rental items include men's and women's suits, shirts, blouses, neckties, belts, shoes, and all clothing necessary for interviews.

When renting a suit, customers can receive styling advice from experts and simple alterations, and the rented clothing must be returned within 2 nights and 3 days.

Youth wishing to rent should visit the nearest eup/myeon office or dong community center at least one week before the interview date and submit the application and other documents.

After applying, once a confirmation message is sent, applicants should bring their ID and visit the rental company.

There is no limit on the number of rentals, but the program may close early if the budget is exhausted.

Meanwhile, the city plans to operate the project on a pilot basis this year, improve user inconveniences through performance analysis and surveys, and officially promote the free youth suit rental project from next year.
