[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] Doosan Robotics is showcasing welding automation solutions using collaborative robots in partnership with its collaborators.
Doosan Robotics announced that it will participate in the ‘2022 Changwon International Welding and Cutting Automation Exhibition (WELDING KOREA 2022+ AUTOMATION)’ held from the 18th to the 21st at the Changwon Convention Center in Gyeongnam.
The Changwon International Welding and Cutting Automation Exhibition marks its 20th anniversary this year. Over 100 companies including Doosan, Hanwha, and Rainbow Robotics are participating.
At this exhibition, Doosan Robotics will introduce solutions jointly developed with partners reflecting the needs of the worksite: ▲a robot welding automation solution with high work flexibility (partner Samho Clus) ▲TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas welding) robot welding solution (partner Pave Tech) ▲robot welding automation solution training and practice kits (partner A-One Technology).
TIG is a welding method that uses inert gases such as helium or argon to cover the arc (a state where strong current flows due to electrode contact causing a large amount of heat) to prevent oxidation and nitriding. It is generally used for welding non-ferrous metals.
Doosan Robotics’ robot welding automation solution is easy to program, allowing flexible changes in work, and can be easily installed even in narrow spaces without layout changes.
Additionally, it enables precise work by using a built-in joint torque sensor in the system and applies collaborative robots that have acquired the industry’s highest safety ratings, PLe and Cat4, ensuring high safety.
The collaborative robot body is covered with an aluminum cover, which has high resistance to Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI), making it applicable even in high-frequency processes.
A Doosan Robotics official stated, “Doosan Robotics’ robot welding automation solution has been recognized for its excellence and is steadily being sold locally in Europe, the Americas, and Oceania,” adding, “As global demand increases, we will strengthen marketing and sales capabilities to further expand sales.”
In addition to robot welding automation solutions, Doosan Robotics also possesses various manufacturing solutions such as ▲palletizing to stack products on pallets ▲machine tending to load workpieces and unload finished products ▲inspection ▲and construction field implementation solutions.
