[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samyook University announced on the 17th that it will officially launch the International Society for Academic Advancement (ISA) to activate academic exchange and cooperation networks among more than 120 Seventh-day Adventist universities worldwide in celebration of its 116th anniversary. The inaugural general meeting will be held on the 20th at the Hong Myung-gi Hall in the Yohang Building on campus.
At the inaugural general meeting, the first president and auditor of ISA will be elected. Additionally, ISA will be officially registered as an international academic society with the National Research Foundation of Korea, marking its formal launch as an international academic society. ISA will operate academic sessions in six fields: △Religion and Theology △Humanities and Social Sciences △Health and Medical Care △Science and Technology △Culture and Arts △Faith and Scholarship. Through this, it plans to expand and share its mission and experience as a higher education institution.
Kim Il, President of Samyook University, said, “ISA will serve as an opportunity for the world to unite in fulfilling the educational mission given to us, transcending barriers of language and race.”
