[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] HDC I'Park Mall announced on the 17th that it will hold the country's first 'I'Park Mall Gundam Festival' in collaboration with Bandai Namco Korea until the 20th of next month.

The Gundam Festival is a large-scale Gundam event that utilizes the interior and exterior of a specific building for Gundam exhibitions, promotions, and sales. It started on the 14th and will run for a total of 38 days until the 20th of next month.

Throughout I'Park Mall, visitors can experience Gundam sculptures, special Gundam illustrations, and booths related to Gundam content. Inside Yongsan Station, there is a 5-meter tall large Freedom Gundam flying display. The main experience areas include the 'Gundam Limited Edition Sales Zone,' 'Gundam Plastic Model Painting Exhibition Zone,' and 'Gundam Game Experience Zone' on the 6th floor at The Center. On the 4th floor cafe street and the outdoor garden The Garden, the 'Gundam Trick Art Photo Zone' and 'Gundam Free Assembly Experience Zone' are operated respectively.

At the 'Gundam Limited Edition Sales Zone,' visitors can purchase limited edition products sold exclusively at this I'Park Mall Gundam Festival. An I'Park Mall official said, "Many customers flocked during the first weekend of the Gundam Festival, and some of the products that arrived that day sold out early."

Sales of 'kidult content' at I'Park Mall grew by 21% compared to the previous year. From January to September this year, sales increased by 47%. In particular, last August recorded a sales growth rate exceeding 72% compared to the same month last year.

An I'Park Mall official said, "Yongsan I'Park Mall is known as a sanctuary for kidults, with various brands gathered such as 'Gundam Base,' the official Gundam plastic model store, 'Replica' selling mini cars and figures, 'Tamiya Plastic Model Factory,' and 'Marvel Shop.' We hope visitors enjoy a unique experience at the 'I'Park Mall Gundam Festival,' which is decorated with various Gundam experience spaces."
