On the 1000th day since the first domestic COVID-19 case was reported, the number of new cases was 739 fewer than the previous day (23,583). It is 4,103 fewer than two weeks ago on the 1st (26,947), but compared to one week ago on the 8th, it actually increased by 3,419. From the 9th, the daily new cases were 17,647 → 8,975 → 15,468 → 30,520 → 26,957 → 23,583 → 22,844, averaging 20,856 cases per day.

The number of deaths due to COVID-19 the previous day was 25, 10 fewer than the day before (35). Among the deceased, 16 were aged 80 or older, 8 were in their 70s, and 1 was in their 60s. The cumulative death toll is 28,808, with a cumulative fatality rate of 0.11%.
As of 5 p.m. the previous day, the number of available COVID-19 hospital beds was 6,068. Of these, 15.8% of critical care beds, 23.1% of semi-critical care beds, and 11.2% of moderate care beds were in use. As of midnight, the number of patients under home treatment was 126,682.
