Boseong-gun, Exhibition of Tea Culture Collection at Korean Tea Museum Dadorakdawon

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun announced that from October 12 to November 30, the Korean Tea Museum will hold the "Tea Story 108" exhibition featuring the collection of Dadorak Dawon in the special exhibition hall.

This exhibition is part of the "2022 Korean Tea Museum Exhibition Space Sharing Project" conducted by the Korean Tea Museum and is the sixth exhibition held this year.

Dadorak Dawon, a representative tea garden of Boseong, will exhibit 130 items related to Boseong tea culture through this exhibition. The exhibits are from the collection of CEO Cho Hyun-gon, with major items including Goryeo celadon, Joseon white porcelain, and Joseon dynasty maksubal (tea bowls) and other tea-related tools.

In particular, the Boseong Deombeongi among Buncheong ceramics is expected to provide insight into the ceramic culture and tea lifestyle of the Boseong region during the Joseon dynasty.

Boseong Deombeongi is a uniquely Korean Buncheong ceramic. In the Joseon dynasty (15th century), it was made by dipping the ceramic body into white clay water or pouring white clay water for decoration to make the vessels white.

This year, through the "2022 Korean Tea Museum Exhibition Space Sharing Project," the Korean Tea Museum has presented planned exhibitions showcasing Boseong's tea culture and history in collaboration with six local artists, tea associations, and tea gardens.
