Gwangju Gwangsan-gu Council Opens 275th Extraordinary Session... Reviews 17 Ordinances and General Proposals

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangsan District Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City (Chairman Kim Taewan) announced on the 13th that it will open the 275th extraordinary session for 11 days from the 14th to the 24th.

During this extraordinary session, a total of 17 agenda items will be addressed, including 13 ordinances (3 of which were proposed by council members) and 4 general matters. The council will also receive reports on the administrative affairs processing status to understand the overall progress of Gwangsan District's administrative tasks in 2022 and adopt the 2022 administrative audit plan.

On the 14th, at the 1st plenary session, the council will handle the matter of deciding the timing and duration of the 2022 administrative audit and begin full preparations for the administrative audit.

Following this, the schedule for each standing committee includes reviewing ordinances and general matters on the 17th, listening to the administrative affairs processing status of each department from the 18th to the 21st, and adopting the plan for the administrative audit to be conducted during the 276th regular session in November.

On the last day, the 24th, the 2nd plenary session will be held to process the submitted agenda items, including the request for attendance of the district mayor and related officials, concluding the session schedule.

Chairman Kim Taewan urged, "This extraordinary session is an important meeting to preliminarily review the performance and issues of each department’s projects ahead of the first administrative audit since the launch of the 9th council and the review of next year’s budget. Therefore, please devote great effort to preparing the administrative audit plan."
